The BABELIRO Project
Clarity. Culture. Language. Ethics.
What is the BABELIRO Project?
The BABELIRO Project is a benevolent initiative designed to help anyone who wishes to improve themselves through clearer, more structured thinking. It offers a full philosophical system rooted in logic, ethics, and culture. At its heart is the Theory of Virtue (TöV) a framework for making better decisions by analysing past experiences, anticipating future harmony, and adapting through lasting change before deciding in the present.
The Theory of Virtue (TöV)
TöV teaches that culture deeply influences our decisions. It can elevate our thinking or distort it. To explore this, the project introduces symbolic cultural elements: a Philosopher-King, a fictional country, a flag, a political system—all imagined constructs to help us rethink our values and envision a better world. These serve as metaphors for understanding ethical behavior and collective growth.
BABELAND: An Imaginary Culture as a tool for change
TöV also teaches that culture can both help and distort how we make decisions. To explore this, we created a set of cultural metaphors: a Philosopher-King, an imaginary country and flag, a political and ethical model… These are not meant to be real. They are thought tools—ways to reframe how we imagine a better world.
BABELIRO: A Purely Logical Philosophical Language
To bring the logic of TöV into a more practical tool, we created BABELIRO: a universal grammatical system designed to express abstract thought with clarity. It is a logical, constructed language that can function across cultures, ideal for learning structured thinking or aiding in human-machine translation.
BABELARO: The Spoken Idiom
BABELARO is the spoken and more intuitive side of the language. Together, BABELIRO and BABELARO form BABELINGO—the complete Babelian language. While this part of the project is still in development, the goal is to provide full learning materials so that people can read, write, and speak in BABELINGO as a unique way to explore philosophy through language.
